  • Personal Information: Your name, email, niche, password, and billing information when you sign up.
  • Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device details, and interactions with our platform (via Vercel Analytics).
  • Uploaded Content: Videos and related media uploaded to use our AI editing tools.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, personalize, and improve our services
  • Authenticate and manage your account
  • Process payments securely via Paddle.com
  • Communicate important service-related messages
  • Analyze usage to enhance platform performance

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services, including:

  • Paddle – for billing and payment processing.
  • Vercel Analytics – for site performance and usage metrics.
  • Amazon S3 – for secure storage of uploaded videos and media.
  • Google Cloud Run – to run the backend jobs that process your videos.
  • Google Gemini – to analyze uploaded footage and select b-roll and editing style.
  • ElevenLabs – for transcription of audio in your videos.

These providers may collect data according to their own privacy policies. Some editing decisions (such as color and layout choices) are made using our own in-house AI tools rather than a third party.

4. Biometric Data

Videos you upload may contain images of your face and recordings of your voice, which may constitute biometric identifiers or biometric information under certain state or national laws, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. We process this data solely to provide our AI editing Service.

We do not sell, license, or otherwise disclose biometric identifiers to third parties, except where necessary to provide the Service (for example, cloud infrastructure used to process your videos) or as required by law. We retain biometric identifiers only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and delete such data thereafter, consistent with the retention practices described in Section 5 below.

5. Data Retention & Security

We store your data securely and only as long as needed to deliver our services. Uploaded videos are stored temporarily and may be deleted after processing. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise your rights, email us at support@filmate.ai.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

We do not sell your personal information, as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or similar laws.

We use cookies to enhance your experience. You can disable cookies via your browser settings, though some features may be limited.
